About Me
Early Life and Education
My parents immigrated to Canada in the 90s after the civil war in Somalia. After high school, I attended the University of Ottawa where I obtained a degree in Public Administration. I worked at Passport Canada and IRCC in the ROCO department handling intake applications for Refugee sponsorship for group five, community sponsors, and SAHs. After my experience at IRCC I felt inspired to pursue further education in Immigration related field.
Entry into Immigration Law
I developed a desire to pursue immigration Law Studies at Queen University. I felt drawn to the field because it offered the opportunity to be self-employed and provide valuable service to immigrants. I completed my Diploma in Immigration & Citizenship Law at Queen University and received my License to practice in July 2023.
